Aaron Bell

CEO, Founder

Aaron loves building the best team and product in the industry. He started coding at a young age, joining Microsoft as a software engineer while attending high school outside Seattle. Just before starting AdRoll, he led projects at SHAI, developing AI systems to help NASA schedule and launch missions, which is almost as complicated as ads... Aaron graduated from Stanford University with a major in computer science. He was the only undergraduate advisee under the legendary computer scientist and Prof. John McCarthy.

Adam has a passion for interactive marketing and enjoys working directly with many AdRoll advertisers. He takes a hands-on approach to helping brands develop creative strategies, and ensuring their campaigns are wildly successful. Before joining AdRoll, Adam helped launch the CPL network at Aptimus, a publicly traded ad network acquired by the Apollo Group. In his four years there, he took a leadership role in almost every department: Business Development, Advertiser Operations, and Product Management. Adam is also an avid surfer, kiteboarder, snowboarder, and barefoot runner.

Peter has helped AdRoll become the fastest growing display platform for ecommerce! He oversees AdRoll's amazing sales team and ensures that operations and finances are in order. Before joining AdRoll, Peter worked in investment banking, was a product manager at Everdream Corp. (acquired by Dell) and got an MBA from Harvard before going to work at Good Technology (acquired by Motorola). There he worked for the President of the company helping oversee sales and then for the CFO where he built and managed the company's financial model. When he is not spending time with his wife and baby girl, he enjoys reliving his college tennis days on the foggy courts of San Francisco.

Valentino Volonghi, Chief Architect

Valentino currently designs and implements AdRoll globally distributed architecture. He is the President and Founder of the Italian Python Association that runs PyCon Italy. Since 2000, Valentino has specialized in distributed systems and actively worked with several Open Source projects with which he continues to be an active contributor. He graduated from the Milan Polytechnic University with a MS in eBusiness and IT Management. In his free time, he shows off his biking skills on his Cervelo S2 on 50+ mile rides around the Bay.

Suresh Khanna, SVP, Sales & Operationss

Suresh Khanna

SVP, Sales & Operations

Suresh oversees all sales operations at AdRoll. With over 15 years of experience, he was in a variety of tech industry roles before joining AdRoll. Previously, he was at Google for over six years, most recently as director of new advertiser sales. In earlier roles, he led the business development efforts for Google’s local advertising channel team, and built scalable sales programs for agencies. Outside of work, Suresh is co-owner of Kasa Indian Eatery in San Francisco. He has two children and is a passionate Little League baseball coach. Suresh holds a dual BA in Economics and Public Policy from Stanford University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

Previously AdRoll's Director of Ad Ops, Greg has been exposed to thousands of display campaigns and has interacted with hundreds of clients. Today, he is using that knowledge to create cutting edge display products that are simple, scalable, and effective. When he is not white-boarding AdRoll's next great feature, he is either climbing in Yosemite, surfing at OB, or skiing in Tahoe. Yeah... his life is basically a Mountain Dew commercial, only more extreme.

Sean Dempsey

Co-founder, Merus Capital

Sean co-founded Merus Capital in November 2007. Previously, he was a principal of corporate development at Google, responsible for acquisitions and investments. Prior to that, he spent over six years at Microsoft in the Corporate Development team, where he was a director. His areas of focus at Google and Microsoft included consumer web services, online and traditional advertising, online video, gaming and enterprise software-as-a-service. Before joining Microsoft, he spent two years in technology mergers & Acquisitions at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell in Menlo Park and was a research analyst at the Jennings Group in San Francisco


Sean holds a BA in Economics/Environment/Politics and a BA in French from Claremont McKenna College.

Jared Kopf

Founder, AdRoll

Jared has co-founded and grown multiple consumer Internet businesses over the past 10 years. He is a founder of AdRoll and was CEO until 2008. Jared also founded and was CEO of HomeRun, until its acquisition in 2011. As the son and grandson of entrepreneurs, he is passionate about entrepreneurship and helping small business owners.


Earlier in his career, Jared co-founded Justarrive and Slide. He also started an early stage technology incubator, Midtown Doornail. Outside of entrepreneurship, Jared was an early member of the PayPal team, and subsequently led venture investing at Clarium Capital, the investment firm of Peter Thiel.


Jared graduated from Stanford University (where he first met Aaron), and was selected as one of the top 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30 by Businessweek.

Charles Moldow

General Partner, Foundation Capital

Charles joined Foundation Capital in 2005, with a background in general management, sales, marketing, product management, and business development. Before coming to Foundation Capital, he was part of two teams that successfully built companies from early start-up through greater than $100 million in sales and exits near or above a billion dollars. Charles has made fourteen investments since joining Foundation, of which five have been acquired: PowerSet to Microsoft; Xoopit to Yahoo!; Adwhirl to Google; Weblistic to Spot Runner; and, Therative to Phillips. In addition to AdRoll, Charles' current portfolio includes: BancBox, CloudOn, Copious, Everyday Health, Fanhood, HomeRun, LendingClub, Luminate, Motif Investing, Revel Touch, and SunRun.


Charles holds a BS degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from Harvard University. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife and four children.
